The certification exam "PECB Certified ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor fully meets the requirements of the PECB Examination and Certification Program (ECP). The examination covers the following areas of competence:

- Area 2: Launch of the cyber security programme and cyber security governance
- Area 3: Definition of roles and responsibilities for cyber security and risk management
- Area 4: Selection of cyber security measures
