Thwarting AI bias through critical thinking

The target audience for training
Anyone wishing to strengthen their critical faculties in the face of AI.
What you will learn
At the end of the course, trainees will be able to strengthen their critical thinking when using Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Training programme
- Duration: 1 day
Day 1
Morning: Foundations of critical thinking and discovery of bias
- Introduction: the challenges and limits of Artificial Intelligence in society and business.
- The pillars of critical thinking: questioning, analysing, discerning and checking sources.
- Understanding human cognitive biases: confirmation effect, anchoring bias, authority bias, etc.
- Initial parallels between cognitive bias and algorithmic bias.
- practical: critical analysis of scenarios where cognitive biases influence decision-making.
- Interactive quiz (30 min) on LMS with group correction to validate and consolidate what has been learnt.
Day 1 - Afternoon: Algorithmic biases and a critical approach to AI
- Deciphering algorithmic biases: training data, representativeness, choice of models.
- Case studies: generative AI and bias in the production of text, images or analyses.
- Developing a critical approach to AI: how to question, cross-check and validate results.
- Ethical and strategic approach: assessing the impact on trust, governance and responsibility.
- Practical exercise: workshop on detecting and correcting bias in results produced by generative AI.
- Interactive quiz (30 min) on LMS with group correction to validate and consolidate what has been learnt.
