What you will learn
The ISO 31000 Foundation course introduces the basic principles and approaches of risk and opportunity management based on the guidelines of the ISO 31000 standard. The course focuses on the fundamental elements of ISO 31000: basic terms and definitions, the principles of risk management, the risk management framework and the risk management process. In addition, each stage of the risk management process is analysed and detailed individually.
At the end of the course, you can sit the exam and apply for certification. PECB ISO 31000 Foundation. This certification is proof that you have understood the fundamental concepts of risk and the risk management methodologies based on the ISO 31000 guidelines.
Training programme
- Duration: 2 days
Day 1 : Introduction to risk management, the components of the ISO 31000 standard and an introduction to the risk management process
Day 2 : Risk assessment, risk treatment, recording and reporting, monitoring and review, communication and consultation in accordance with ISO 31000
Training review
The exam fully meets the requirements of the PECB Examination and Certification Programme (ECP). It covers the following areas of competence: Duration: 1 hour
- Area 1: Fundamental principles and concepts of risk management
- Area 2: Risk management framework and risk management process

- Summarise the main concepts and principles of risk management as defined in ISO 31000.
